Let’s start at the beginning. Sounds like a good place to start, right?

We originally conceived Jobvious to solve this particular problem:

“How do we make the process of Car Dealerships and Independent Specialists working together easier?”

This came from years of experience working as an Independent Specialist…… There were issues with communication, specifying the work, timing expectations, longer payment cycles….. It was …. Just not easy.

What we quickly realized is that to solve our original problem, there was a very different solution required for the Independent Specialist.

Our co-founder has been in this business for over 20 years and as you can imagine, had a “process” like most owners do: paper calendars moved to online calendars, sticky notes, scribbled notes, multiple phone calls, POS systems, whiteboards…..

There had to be a better way of staying organized and create a system that can create an easy-to-follow process.

Based on a lot of discussions, a lot of coffee, an occasional beer(s), and many whiteboard diagrams, we designed and developed the specialist’s function: a simple, lightweight system that handles the workflow at a shop from your phone and your computer.

Jobvious for the Independent Specialist handles:

Create and send an estimate
Book the work
Check the customer car in
Track the work and keep the customer up to date on progress
Invoice the customer
Accept Contactless payments so you are paid on job completion
Put all this into your bookkeeping software

If the dealer picks you to do the work, it immediately gets scheduled on your calendar.

For steps 6 and 7 (accept payment, add to bookkeeping):

Invoicing and waiting to get paid by the dealer used to take a while. So, we’re going handle it.

You get paid by us when you finish the job. No more chasing invoices and wondering where the money is. No more 30 days.
