Receiving a Vehicle
RECEIVING a vehicle for a job
NOTE: For the most up to date information on Request and Job status in Jobvious, please REFRESH your browser window.
Click on “Jobs” in the left main navigation panel, and you’ll be shown a list of the work that you have booked, either in-progress or waiting to start.
Vehicles that are scheduled but haven’t arrived at your shop yet are shown with a Calendar icon next to them.
You can view the detail of each job by selecting it from the list.
The list is displayed in order of Arrival Date.
To receive the vehicle into your shop, we ask you to validate the VIN number of the car expected.
If the vehicle is coming from a Dealer (as shown above), Jobvious already knows what the VIN number should be. So, if they match, click “Accept”. If they don’t match, then you will need to reach out the dealer and potentially create a new job for the right vehicle. You have the option to “Reject” the car and the requestimate will be removed and the dealer will be notified.
If the vehicle belongs to a retail customer (as shown above) Jobvious needs you to enter the VIN number to check the Year, Make and Model are the same as the one specified on the job. If the year, make and model match, or you are SURE that this is the vehicle, click “Accept”
If it is clearly the wrong vehicle, you can “Reject” the estimate and create another one. The cost for most services offered are determined by the size and type of the vehicle so we want to make sure that there is a check at the point of receiving the car.
If the customer needs to reschedule, you can click “Reschedule”. This resets the job back to an estimate and you will be redirected back to the estimate page where you can re-schedule the appointment.
