To create a request, click the “New Request” button wherever you see it on the system.
The specialist needs to know 3 things: the vehicle, the work required, and the time window available for the work to be done, plus any additional notes that are relevant for the job.
Your progress for entering this information is shown in the progress bar at the top of the panel.
If, at any time, during the creation of a request you need to cancel, click the ‘x’ in the top right corner.
First, enter the vehicle information
Enter a valid 15 digit VIN number in to the field and click ‘Decode VIN’.
The system will decode the VIN and retrieve the vehicle information. The vehicle information will appear in the lower panel. The next button will appear when the vehicle is found.
Click Next to go to the next section.
second, enter the work you need done on the vehicle
Select the work required from the drop downs and click “Add Service” for each one. The total amount due and the total work duration will be shown at the bottom.
To remove a selected service from the list, click the radio button to the left of the list item.
The page won’t allow you to pick duplicates, and has some intelligence built in to replace services that are included in others. Example: Adding Window Tint to the whole vehicle will replace window tint for the front or rear if they are already on the request.
In addition, if you try to add a service that is included in one that is already selected, you won’t be able to add it. Example: Window Tint for the whole vehicle is already selected, and you try to add Window Tint for the front. That would be duplicated, and therefore not included in the request.
The system will total up the time and total for the overall request. You may need to scroll down to see the final total and the submit button. At least one service must be selected.
Click Next to continue building the request.
NEXT, enter any relevant notes
Don’t let the size of the field fool you. Type whatever notes you feel you need the installer to know about the work if there are any. Click “Save Notes” so they are saved with the request.
Click “Next” to continue with the request.
LASTLY, PICK THE WINDOW of availability for the Specialist to do the work
Based on the services you have chosen, the due date will be initially set from the available date and won’t allow less time than it takes to complete the work.
When you are done, click “Send Request”.
We’ll send the request to local high quality specialists who can do the work and the new request will be added to your list of requests in Jobvious.
Specialists who are offered the job will receive a text message, so they can respond quickly.
You will be notified by SMS when a specialist responds.
